My prize-winning, easy banana bread recipe from back in my 4-H glory days!

How to Make Banana Bread

Ingredients Needed

1/3 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup Sugar

2 eggs

1 3/4 cups Flour

1 teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1 cup Mashed Ripe Bananas (about 3 medium)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well.

In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with bananas - beating well after each addition.

Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 42-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Let stand for 10 minutes before removing from pan; cool loaf on a wire rack.

Makes one loaf.

Enjoy!

Notes

• Chocolate lover? Add some chocolate chips into your mixture before pouring into the loaf pan to bake!

• Not wanting to make a loaf? Switch gears and make muffins instead! Just note cooking time will be less. Still bake it until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
