'Tis the season to cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate! What's better than that? Hot chocolate with caramel! This is how to make it in the slow cooker.

How to Make Caramel Hot Chocolate in the Slow Cooker

Ingredients Needed

6 cups of milk

7 ounces caramel ice cream topping

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Caramel sauce being added to hot chocolate mixture.

Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker (or Instant Pot on slow cook setting).

Instant Pot

Cook on high heat and whisk once every half hour for about 90 minutes.

Once the chocolate chips have melted, it is ready to serve.

Notes

• Skip the extra step of adding sea salt and just use a sea salt caramel sauce!

• For presentation, drizzle caramel and mini chocolate chips on top of your cup of hot chocolate!

• Big crowd? Double the recipe!

• Store leftovers in the fridge. Reheat hot chocolate in the microwave or on the stove.
