How to Make Simple Pitaya Bowls
Updated: Jan 21
Chances are you've heard of açaí bowls. Well, this recipe is very similar to those, minus the açaí. I call this recipe simple pitaya bowls because that's what they are. So SIMPLE! You can whip one up in no-time.
I prefer pitaya over açaí because it is sweeter and prettier. However, it's hard to go wrong with either as both fruits are packed with antioxidants!

How to Make Simple Pitaya Bowls
Ingredients Needed
For the bowl:
1 cup pitaya (dragonfruit), frozen
1/2 cup strawberries, frozen
1 banana, frozen
2 tablespoons peanut butter
3/4 cup milk
For the topping:
1/4 cup granola
1 teaspoon Honey
1/2 banana, sliced
Instructions
Combine all frozen fruit, peanut butter, and milk in a blender or food processor. Blend until all the fruit is completely processed. If the mixture is too thick, add milk until it reaches the desired consistency.
Pour fruit mix into a serving bowl.
Top with granola, sliced banana and honey.
Final step: Enjoy your simple pitaya bowls!
Notes
• Make sure fruit is fully frozen, or the mixture will be too runny.
• Customize the added ingredients (fruit, nut butters, etc.) to your liking!
• If I have other fruits around when I make these, I'll add them in. Sometimes I like to throw in kiwi!
• If you are dairy-free, substitute the milk with almond milk or any other non-dairy options.
• Try my easy granola recipe as a topping for your Simple Pitaya Bowls.
